Join us this year for the annual Gilbert Days Parade presented by Earnhardt Auto Centers and the Gilbert Half Marathon. We are excited to share with the community over 75 amazing floats and parade entries for this year's event. Bring your family and friends to this nostalgic event that originated over 40 years ago to celebrate the paving of Gilbert Road. We welcome you to make this a family tradition, as many residents of multiple generations have.

2024 Parade Information

Celebrate the past and the future of our community at the Gilbert Days Parade presented by Earnhardt Auto Center.

The parade will take place in Gilbert's Downtown Heritage District on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with step off at 8:30 AM on Gilbert Road between Elliot Road and Juniper Avenue.

Parking can be found throughout the Heritage District and multiple road closures will take place throughout the morning.

If needed, an inclement weather date has been set for December 7th at 8:30 AM. The parade will only be rescheduled if conditions are unsafe.

Road Closures

The Gilbert Days Parade will cause a full road closure of Gilbert Road throughout the Downtown Heritage District on Saturday, November 23rd.

Gilbert Road will be closed from Guadalupe Road to Hackamore Street from 5:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Elliot Road will be closed in all directions at the Gilbert Road intersection between Burk and Ash Streets.
Parade participants will stage on both the northbound and southbound side of Gilbert Road between Juniper Avenue and Guadalupe Road and in the southeast and southwest shopping center parking lots of Gilbert and Guadalupe Roads.

At 8:30 AM, the parade will head south on Gilbert Road from Juniper Avenue to the Gilbert Public Schools District Office just south of Elliot Road. The parade is anticipated to conclude by 10:30 AM and Gilbert Road is expected to reopen at 11:00 AM.

Businesses along Gilbert Road may remain open. Please check on operating hours and suggested parking availability ahead of time.

Road closure information for Gilbert days 2024

Road closures will also take place on Recker Road for the Gilbert Half Marathon from 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23rd.

This year's parade theme is "Decade Party." Groups are encouraged to design their float/entries celebrating a decade of their choice. Will it be Flower Power of the 70's, Disco Days of the 80's or perhaps Family Double Dare of the 90's?

Groups are welcome to design their float/entries as they choose making sure they stay within the guidelines.
