Purpose and Vision

To establish IT as a strategic business partner by enabling the Town of Gilbert to serve its citizens through the creative and innovative use of technology. IT is dedicated to the Town’s core mission to anticipate change, create solutions, and help people.

The Town of Gilbert’s Information Technology Department (TOG-IT) is comprised of a staff who bring a diverse skillset to the team. With responsibility to consult on technology solutions, manage, upgrade and optimize existing systems and keep abreast of new or emerging technology, there is never a shortage of activity within the department.

The Road to the Future

In alignment with Gilbert's mission to "Anticipate. Create. Help people.", the Gilbert IT Roadmap focuses on the theme of "IT as a Strategic Business Partner" and includes these five strategic pillars:

Gilbert's Information Technology Department is the support for the backbone of the Town's technology infrastructure. By helping bridge technology with the unique skills of citizens and staff, Gilbert's IT team is able to anticipate changes in technology, create solutions that prepare Gilbert for the future, and help people engage in ways that take advantage of new capabilities.
