Q. Will my pickup day change on holidays?
A. Holidays do not affect the town's curbside trash & recycling collection for your blue and black bins, however there is no bulk trash pickup the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Check your schedule here.

Q. How do I report bulk trash that is put out on the wrong week?

Q. What time do I need to have my containers out on collection day?
A. Please place your containers out no later than 5 AM on your collection day.
Q. When do I put my bulk trash items out?
A. Place your bulk items out no earlier than the Saturday before your collection week and no later than 5 AM on Monday of your collection week.
Q. What items do you pick up for bulk trash?
A. Visit our bulk trash page for a full list of items we collect. Please only place the items on this list out for pickup.
Q. Where do I recycle batteries, electronics, paint or other household waste?
A. NEVER dispose of hazardous materials in your curbside trash. Please take them to our Household Hazardous Waste Facility to dispose of them properly: gilbertaz.gov/HHW
Q. Where do I put my bulk trash pile?
A. On the street, against the curb away from any items that could inhibit our driver’s ability to access the pile.
Q. Do I need to place my blue recycle container out each week?
A. No, please only place your blue container out when it’s full.
Q. Will both my containers be picked up at the same time?
A. No, they will be picked up at different times. Our operators work from 5 AM until the routes are completed, so please leave your barrels out until they have been picked up.
Q. Does Gilbert offer composting?
A. Gilbert's compost containers are currently unavailable. Please check with retailers for a compost container.
