The Gilbert Town Council consists of a Mayor and six Councilmembers. The Mayor and Council serve at-large, representing all citizens and serve four-year terms; there are no term limits and members can be elected to consecutive terms of office. Gilbert municipal elections are non-partisan.
The Council typically meets twice per month on rotating Tuesdays at 6:30 PM, unless otherwise noted. There are months where the schedule varies and months where there is only one Regular meeting, so please check the website calendar and the agenda section for updates and specific dates.
Council meetings are held within the Council Chambers at the Municipal Center I Building, also known as Town Hall, located at 50 E Civic Center Drive.
Council agendas are posted on this website at least 24 hours prior to the meeting time. Council meeting minutes from 1998 to the present are also available via this Town's website.

Previous Gilbert Mayors
Gilbert Mayors have listened to residents since the Town was incorporated on July 6, 1920. Our Mayors have fought for this Town and have led its celebrations. Together, through an intertwining process consisting of hard work and heart, our Mayors have triumphed in creating a Community of Excellence. As we celebrate more than a century of Gilbert history, we thank them for their hard work and guidance as we look ahead to a future that is brighter than ever.
