The design process for the overall project is still in progress, but work is currently underway to install a new water pipeline to interconnect the water system in front of Williams Field High School and on Harrison St. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of October. 

On Tuesday, October 22^nd, a part of this work will require shutting down valves along Higley Road between Warner Road and Williams Field Road. The procedure itself will not cause any disruption to water service, however it will cause water to be redistributed through other lines. When this happens, sometimes sediment can stir up and cause discoloration in your tap water for a short period of time. Please note that although discolored, the water is still disinfected and safe to use.

This may impact households between Elliot Road and Frye Road (North to South), and Recker Road to Val Vista Road (East to West) – see map below. Town staff will work to proactively flush the system, speeding up the process of clearing the discoloration. The issue will be resolved over a few hours as more water is used, and the lines are flushed. Click here to view the impacted area.
