John Quincy Adams QuoteThis section focuses on the Gilbert style of leadership. If you’re not an “official” leader yet, that’s okay, you can still read ahead! Some of the best leaders don’t have rank, direct reports, or fancy titles.

Creating a Purposeful Work Experience

As a leader, the most important thing you do for those “in our charge” is to create a work experience that is meaningful and fulfilling. Gilbert is full of public servants who love this community and have dedicated their lives to serving others. They deserve to feel connected to the impact they make every day, and you have the ability to make that happen! Your job is to create that feeling of purpose for your team.

Our leadership development program is called “Purposeful Leadership” for this reason. You’ll learn more about that when you click on the “Purposeful Leadership” link below. It’s a whole big deal.

Our employees (you) are our best advocates. After you’ve read through this section and have settled in, we want you to shout from the rooftops about what a great place this is to work and share far and wide on Facebook, Twitter and more about the pride you have for working or living here! Only then will we be able to continue to attract people like you to this organization.

Did you know we have nearly 30 different social media channels, a lot of amazing videos (one was even shared by Justin Timberlake) and a podcast?

Thank You
