GFRD Celebrating 100 Years of Service

  • Date: 07/29/2023 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

The Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department and HD South are hosting a free community event on Saturday, July 29 to celebrate 100 years of fire service.

Join us at HD South, Home of the Gilbert Historical Museum, from 9 to 11 AM to mingle with Gilbert firefighters and get an up-close look at some of the town’s emergency vehicles, including a working fire truck and ambulance and the Town’s very first fire engine – an REO Speed Wagon from the 1920s.

Attendees at the July 29 celebration are invited inside the museum to learn more about the history of the department and browse some of the early artifacts and equipment.
