Tucked away in a charming neighborhood, the McQueen Park Activity Center offers a family-focused and welcoming atmosphere. We’re located close to downtown Gilbert and conveniently located on the borders of Chandler and Mesa, AZ. We're close to U.S. Route 60 and the Loop 202 Freeway to allow for easy traveling of our guests.

This 27,000 square foot facility stands out due to its architecturally distinctive design allowing it to transform into an ideal and affordable venue for all of your recreation needs. We host a variety of recreation classes, events and programs and can accommodate multiple use rental opportunities from small intimate gatherings to larger banquets, weddings and receptions. We offer private classrooms (4), multipurpose rooms (3), a prep kitchen, spacious lobby and enclosed courtyard making us a great event venue for our guests.

A spacious 6,500 square foot, air conditioned gymnasium allows us to accommodate multi-sport activities and team practice requests. Guests can enjoy the open game area fully equipped with billiards, foosball, ping pong and shuffleboard tables, along with a toddler play area.

McQueen rests on a 41 acre park which overlooks a beautiful, 2 acre, stocked lake. Multi-use trails, restroom facilities, fishing, sport courts, tot lots, ramadas and other outdoor amenities are also available just steps outside of the facility.

Badminton  

Drop-in any time during program hours. Badminton open gym is self-monitored, and play is on the honor system. Game times will be limited to 15 min (including warm up) or 21 points; whichever comes first. Players must check-in at the front desk, pay the admission fee, sign the waiver of liability form and receive a wristband. Wristbands must be worn on the wrist at all times. Pickleball

Two pickleball courts are available by reservation on a first-come, first serve basis. Drop-in players allowed if space permits. Reservations can be made beginning at 12 PM on Friday's for the upcoming week. TO MAKE A COURT RESERVATION, call (480) 503-6294.

General Court Reservation Information

1. Two courts are available by reservation; drop-in players allowed if space permits.
2. Reservations are first-come, first-serve beginning at 12 PM on Friday's for the upcoming week.
3. NO SPECTATORS allowed in the gymnasium at any time.
4. Reservations are available in 1-hour intervals up to 2-hour time blocks.
5. Only one court can be reserved per person.
6. If courts are open after 2-hours, then players can continue to play up to 15 minutes before next scheduled reservation.
7. Players must supply their own paddles and balls; nets will be set-up prior to arrival.
8. Proof of residency (valid Gilbert/Higley School ID, AZ Driver’s License, AZ ID Card or car registration) showing a Gilbert address is required to receive the resident rate. Others will be subject to receive the non-resident rate.

The McQueen Park Activity Center features a spacious 6,500 square foot indoor gymnasium, perfect for a variety of athletic activities. We accommodate sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton and more. Both half court and full court reservations are available for private use, one-on-one coaching and team practices. The gym can be booked for a single session or an entire sports season. See brochure for requirements.

An admission fee is required for use of the gymnasium. Proof of residency in the form of a valid Gilbert/Higley School ID, AZ Driver’s License or AZ ID Card showing a Gilbert address is required to receive the resident rate. Others will be subject to receiving the non-resident rate. Children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision at all times.
