Community Land Trust Housing

Newtown has partnered with Gilbert to purchased up three (3) homes in Gilbert that will be part of the Community Land Trust (CLT).  Community Land Trust homes are permanently affordable with a model that allows families to build equity by buying the home while also allowing the Community Land Trust to keep the resale price low for future buyers because they own the land.  For more information or to apply to qualify to purchase a home please visit the CLT website.

Down Payment Assistance Program

The Home in Five Advantage Program helps low- to moderate-income individuals and families buy a home in Maricopa County. Qualified homebuyers receive up to 3 percent of the loan amount for down payment and closing costs, plus a loan with a competitive interest rate. An additional 1 percent assistance is also available to K-12 teachers, first responders, U.S. military personnel, veterans, and income-qualified borrowers.

Gilbert does not have any public housing units.

The Town of Gilbert does not operate a Housing Choice Voucher program. Those wishing to apply for rental units in Gilbert, landlords interested in participating in the housing choice program, and those that have a voucher already can visit:
