New Volunteers

If you are a new volunteer to Gilbert Parks and Recreation, start by filling out an application. Once an application is submitted, a staff member will be in contact with you to schedule volunteer hours.

Court-Ordered Community Service

Must be 18 years or older to participate.

Court ordered community service is available to individuals on an appointment basis only. Tasks include litter removal, cleaning picnic sites and equipment, painting and other maintenance duties. Physical labor is required. Work is conducted outdoors and under the supervision of Park staff. Scheduling is online only.

Eagle Scout Projects

We encourage you to visit park sites in the community and see what needs improvement. The town does not have a “standing list” of projects. An internet search can also yield many project ideas. When you have decided on a project, submit your ideas to Kellie Elliot to coordinate your Eagle Scout project.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities

Senior Center: Volunteer are also much needed at the Town of Gilbert's Senior Center to provide assistance with programs for our senior citizens. If you are interested in volunteering with the Gilbert Senior Center, please call 480-503-6061.

Friend's Place: The Southeast Regional Library is in need of volunteers to help with the Friend's Place store. If you are interested in learning more about how you can help, please contact Donna Petersen.
