Gilbert Parks and Recreation offers a co-ed recreational sand volleyball league for ages 7-14 years, designed for beginner to intermediate level players. Each team will be assigned a coach to help players learn the essential skills of the game such as serving, setting, passing and ball control. The program emphasizes skill development, teamwork, building strong relationships and, most importantly, having fun!

PRACTICE & GAME INFORMATION

• Each season runs 6 weeks; 1 practice and 1 game day per week
• 5 weeks of regular games followed by playoff game scheduled on week 6
• Team practices and games are held at Gilbert Regional Park (3005 E. Queen Creek Road, Gilbert AZ 85298)
• Practice times vary and are assigned by team

REGISTRATION

• Registration fee: $90/player
• Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis; online registration will take priority
• Practice times/teams are picked at time of registration; no preference option is available
• Registration opens at 7am on day of registration
• No refunds available after the registration deadline

DIVISION LEAGUE INFORMATION:

Teams are formed based on two age divisions: 7-10, and 11-14. Gilbert Youth Sand Volleyball is committed to providing a fair and equally balanced recreational league for all our participants. Players should register in the division based on their age at the start of the season to allow for a well-balanced team environment. 

PLAYER UNIFORMS

• Players will receive a team T-shirt by the second game day
• Players should wear athletic shorts or pants that allow for flexible movement
• Players should bring their own ball to practices and games (be sure to write their name on it!)
• Players should avoid wearing jewelry and similar accessories to avoid possible injury 

SCORING

Our youth sand volleyball league focuses on recreation play and allows each participant to play an equal amount of time. This league aims to provide fun and help players develop in the sport, so tryouts are not necessary. Team standings, scores or rankings will not be tracked during the season. We encourage players, coaches and spectators to focus on sportsmanship and the love of the game rather than the win or loss.
