LIFEGUARD

  • Monitors swimming pool area to prevent and respond to emergency situations
  • Performs rescues and first aid functions
  • Enforces pool rules and regulations
  • Cleans pool area and bathrooms ensuring conditions meet county health and sanitary standards
  • Participates in training including but not limited to, in-service training, rescue skills, and physical conditioning

LIFEGUARD/INSTRUCTOR

  • Provides instruction on water safety skills, swimming fundamentals, and stroke and dive technique to various age groups
  • Monitors swimming pool area to prevent and respond to emergency situations
  • Performs rescues and first aid functions
  • Enforces pool rules and regulations

ASSISTANT SWIM/DIVE COACH

  • Assists the Head Swim/Dive Coach with organizing and coordinating swim/dive team practices and meets
  • Provides instruction and lessons to participants in the program
  • Answers inquiries and provides information to the public including pool hours/location, programs and events

HEAD SWIM/DIVE COACH

  • Supervises, organizes and coordinates swim/dive team practices and meets
  • Completes appropriate records related to swim/dive meets
  • Oversees and trains Assistant Coaches on the expectations of coaching duties
  • Acts as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager
  • Maintains positive public relations with all facility guests, parents/guardians and participants while providing excellent customer service

ASSISTANT POOL MANAGER

  • Assists the Pool Manager in daily pool operations including collecting fees, preparing daily financial records and deposits, and ensuring pool and facility cleanliness and maintenance
  • Acts as Manager on Duty when the Pool Manager is not present
  • Assists in supervising and evaluating part-time pool staff
  • Assists in the development and implementation of aquatic programs
  • Maintains staff attendance and scheduling
  • Enforces pool rules and regulations
  • Assists in implementing special events, performing such tasks as setting up equipment, monitoring pool area for safety, leading children in games, and judging contest

POOL MANAGER

  • Supervises, directs and evaluates the work of part-time pool staff including lifeguards, instructors, coaches, other management staff
  • Oversees daily pool operations including collecting fees, preparing daily financial records and deposits, and ensuring pool and facility cleanliness and maintenance
  • Develops and implements ongoing, in-service training for staff
  • Supervises and promotes aquatics program offerings
  • Processes swim lesson registrations
  • Monitors swimming pool area to prevent and respond to emergency situations
  • Answers inquiries and provides information to the public including pool hours/location, programs and events
  • Documents accidents and other pool-related incidents according to Town requirements
  • Organizes and implements special events to include staffing, ordering equipment, overseeing set up and tear down
