Inspection Requests or Scheduling

Engineering Inspections

Detailed inspections are completed for every construction job in the Town. These inspections are for the public's safety and convenience. These inspections include retention grading, sewer line flow, water line leakage and pressure, soil density, and concrete and asphalt thickness and durability.  Engineering inspections are performed on permitted projects that fall within the right-of-ways and easements.

Inspection requests should be scheduled with the area inspector as noted on your right-of-way permit.

Inspections for weekend work shall be scheduled with Michelle Runner at (480) 503-6975, by noon on Thursday.

Traffic Engineering Inspections

Coordinates traffic-related aspects of projects: coordinates with traffic department, contractors, and developers to obtain approval of traffic control plans for field right-of-way operations; verifies approval of traffic plans; verifies accurate and operational field setup of traffic plans; coordinates inspection of signage and striping layout with traffic department, developers, and contractors; coordinates and determines haul route for import/export of project materials; verifies daily use and maintenance of established haul routes.

Inspection requests should be scheduled with the area inspector as noted on your right-of-way permit.

Planning Inspections

Inspection of on-site and off-site landscaping irrigation for all projects. Verifies plant material and ground cover are per plan; inspects parking lot islands, parking lot striping (parking bays), parking lot lighting (photometrics), painting and construction completion, equipment screening and site amenities (bike racks, benches, tot lots, etc.) are complete and per plan.  Also inspects on-site and off-site cleanup on projects.

Inspection requests should be scheduled with the area inspector as noted on your landscape permit.
