The Gilbert Municipal Court has five judges, one commissioner, several pro tempore judges, and an administrative staff to help meet customer needs efficiently: Presiding Judge, David Cutchen Judge, Bruce Owens Judge, Alison Ferrante Judge, Casey Mundell Judge, Lauren Ramirez Commissioner, Jarom Harris Court Administrator, Adam Walterson Deputy Court Administrator, Danielle Dodge |
Gilbert judges are appointed by the Gilbert Town Council to serve a two-year or four-year term. All Arizona judges must follow the Rules of the Arizona Supreme Court, the Canons of Judicial Ethics, the Arizona Revised Statutes and corresponding case law interpreting those statutes, and both the United States and Arizona Constitutions, among other legal requirements.
Pursuant to judicial ethics rules, judges are not permitted to discuss pending cases with litigants unless both parties are present in the courtroom or are given a chance to respond.
To bring an issue about a pending case to the judge's attention you must file a written motion. This can be done at the court, by mail or by electronic motion. Filing an electronic written motion is strongly advised, to ensure the most efficient service. Please visit our home page for our filing link and instructions on how to complete your filing.
To make an ethical complaint about a judge formal judicial complaints may be filed with the Commission on Judicial Conduct.
