The Public Works Advisory Board was formed to consider and address the services offered by the Public Works Department and the infrastructure that support these services under the pillars of Services, Infrastructure, and Sustainability. With a commitment to delivering projects and programs that enhance quality of life, economic growth, public health and the environment, the Board reviews and make recommendations to the Town Council regarding the strategy, approach, and fund planning of initiatives and large-scale infrastructure projects across all divisions of the Public Works Department for the current and future needs of Gilbert.

Ideal Candidate Statement
- Residents interested in and/or experienced with the services, operations, design and/or construction of infrastructure related to public works. This may include areas relating to the divisions of the department:
- Environmental Compliance (Stormwater, Air Quality, Hazardous Waste)
- Solid Waste & Recycling
- Streets
- Water
- Wastewater
- Engineering (Traffic and Capital Improvement Projects)
- Fleet
- Sustainability
- Residents interested in and/or experienced with municipal operations and the functions that support the Department and offer the services provided by each division.
- Candidates would need to be advocates in the community for Department initiatives and projects.
