Citizens Transportation Task Force (Ad Hoc Committee)

Gilbert Transportation Advisory Committee - Disbanded on December 13, 2022

Nine members of the Citizens Transportation Task Force will serve in an advisory capacity concerning transportation projects and issues related to and including arterial streets, intersections, bicycles, pedestrians, trail crossings and traffic management systems.   

The Task Force will work to review and provide input on Gilbert’s overall transportation system to address needs in the areas of safety, traffic congestion mitigation, economic development and investment, and advanced traffic management systems.

Members must reside within the Town limits.  There will be one member selected from each of the nine geographic sections of Gilbert shown below.

Participation may range from monthly to weekly meetings.  The ideal candidate will be satisfied with the sometimes-limited activity, but also fully engaged when the need arises. Members of the Task Force will serve a term until advising is completed on the assigned transportation projects and issues, if no other tasks are assigned by the Council.

Open Meeting Law

Agendas and notices are posted at least 24 hours prior to a meeting or event. Agendas are removed from the website after the meeting.

Draft minutes are posted to the website within three working days of a meeting. The draft minutes contain all legal action taken.

The Town of Gilbert endeavors to make all public meetings accessible to persons with disabilities.
