Gilbert received $29.2 million in AZCares funding to use toward public safety and public health personnel expenses, freeing up capacity on existing local budgets to be used elsewhere.

Gilbert assembled the Council Cares Subcommittee to better understand the impacts of COVID-19 on residents, businesses and nonprofits and ensure the AZCares Fund dollars were allocated to meet the short and long-term needs of our community.
