A beam that once held up the North Tower of the World Trade Center now rests at Gilbert's 9/11 Memorial Plaza. It gives all a place to pause, touch, and remember; to feel united again and thankful for our fragile liberty.

This outdoor memorial is open to the public any time, day or night.

Annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

You're invited to the Town of Gilbert 9/11 Memorial Ceremony beginning at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, September 11th.

The ceremony will be followed by a Tribute in Light from 7:30 - 10:30 PM. Two beams of light will be projected into the sky to symbolize the World Trade Center's twin towers.

In the spirit of remembrance, Gilbert residents are encouraged to give back by participating in the National Day of Service. You can find local opportunities happening that day or sign up for Gilbert's next volunteer opportunity on Saturday, September 14th, at 7:30 AM.
