The festival coincides with the Gilbert Art Walk and Farmer’s Market, and it will feature more than 30 musicians who will perform throughout the day on three stages in the Heritage District in Downtown Gilbert near Gilbert Road and Page Avenue. The musicians include Americamera, Cottonwood Stone, Wally Bormann, Three Legged Dog, to name a few. These daytime performances are free. Musical workshops also will be held at the Gilbert Folk Festival, with the first, “Hosting House Concerts” by Paul and Maffie Pfaffenberger at 11 a.m.; “Songwriting Tips” by JC and Laney at noon; “Telling Stories and Singing Songs” by Wally Bormann at 1 p.m.; and the “Carter Family Sing-a-long” with Dave Baumann and Barbara Heber at 2 p.m.
Known for such songs such as “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?,” The Kingston Trio will perform at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts, 4132 E. Pecos Road at 7 p.m. Feb. 16.

• “One Great Night of Folk Music”: Saturday, March 2, 7 p.m., Arizona banjo player Joe Bethancourt, as well as artists Jim Pipkin and Linda Bilque will perform folk music. Tickets $13-$15.
• “Bob and Bing’s Road to Gilbert”: Saturday, March 9, 7:30 p.m.: Relive the humor and charisma of American entertainers Bob Hope and Bing Crosby with a tribute performance by Lynn Roberts and Bob Pasch, with guest guest appearances by Jimmy Durante, Jack Benny and Red Skelton. Tickets $14.50-$34.50.
• “Hotel Saguaro”: Tuesday, March 12, at 10:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m.: The Great Arizona Puppet Theater performs a children’s play about the important role of life in the desert. Tickets are $10 per adult, $7 per child.
• Singer, fiddler Laurie Lewis: Friday, March 15, 7 p.m. With her commanding stage presence, Lewis’s music and poetic lyrics crisscross the traditional American folk and modern bluegrass genres. Tickets are $24 each.
