Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz at the Riparian Preserve

Join the Town of Gilbert this September for a Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz at the Riparian Preserve! A BioBlitz is a fun way for scientists and citizen scientist to work together to document the plants and animals present at one time in a given area. Experts from across Arizona will be on site to teach you about the incredible pollinators, and pollinator friendly plants, present at the Preserve. This event is open to all ages.
The Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz is a national effort for people to find and document pollinator friendly plants and pollinators across the country in partnership with their local park and recreation agency.
To participate, just sign up for this free event, then download and make an account on the iNaturalist app. With the iNaturalist app, you simply take a picture of a pollinator (bee, butterfly, bat, etc.) or plant, and the online community will help identify the species.
If you cannot make it to the event, you can still participate! Just visit the Riparian Preserve anytime during the month of September and record your observations on iNaturalist.
