On February 20, 2024, the Gilbert Town Council adopted Resolution 4438 approving a Call of Election for the 2024 Primary Election to be held on July 30, 2024 for the purpose of electing one (1) Mayor and two (2) Councilmembers to four-year terms.

 The offices for the following seats are up for Election in 2024:

• Mayor Brigette Peterson
• Councilmember Scott Anderson
• Councilmember Kathy Tilque

Voter Registration

To vote in the Primary Election, residents must be registered with Maricopa County Elections by July 1, 2024. Voter registration forms may also be obtained from the Maricopa County Recorder at: https://recorder.maricopa.gov/elections/registrationform.aspx.

Registered voters may request a ballot by mail, by phone, or through the Maricopa County Elections website.

Phone requests for ballots may be made by contacting Maricopa County Elections at (602) 506-1511.  Persons requesting a ballot over the phone need to provide their name and address, date of birth, and voter identification number (if available).

 Electronic requests may be made through the Maricopa County Recorder at. https://recorder.maricopa.gov/earlyvotingballot/earlyvotingballotrequest.aspx.

Persons who wish to cast an early ballot may do so beginning July 3, 2024.  A list of early voting sites may be obtained from the Maricopa County Recorder at https://recorder.maricopa.gov/pollingplace.

Polls will be open on Election Day, July 30, 2024 from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Persons in line at 7:00 p.m. will be permitted to cast a ballot.
