KAPOW! Superhero Adventure Run

NOTICE: The Freestone Skate Park will be closed on March 22nd from 5:30 AM - Noon

This is a photo of three participants on the KAPOW course.

This family-friendly fun run features more than 15 playful obstacles for you and your little superhero to conquer throughout the morning. A wave start will take place every 15 minutes beginning at 8 AM giving you and your superheroes enough time to safely navigate the obstacles. The last wave will start at 10 AM. No runners will be permitted to start after 10:15 AM, and obstacles will begin closing by 11 AM. Runners are encouraged to wear their favorite superhero costumes.

In addition to the course, you can explore Gilbert's very own Gotham City with free activities, superhero guest appearances, music and more. Gotham City will be open before the race begins so come early and check it out!

Registration for the 2025 run will open February 1st. Save $10 per person if you register early before March 1st! While supplies last, participants can get a superhero gift at packet pick-up. Runners will also get a celebratory medal after finishing the race. See wave times, registration details, and a sneak peak of the superhero gift and medal below.

Tickets will go on sale February 1st and are required for everyone attending. The last day to register is March 21st. No on-site registration will be available or accepted day-of. Save $10 and register early!

Each runner will receive a celebratory medal after finishing the adventure race as a special keepsake. While supplies last, participants can also get a unique gift that is themed after the race at packet pick-up! This is a picture of the medal and bag Kapow Runners will receive.

The last wave time will start promptly at 10 AM. No runners will be permitted to start the race after 10:15 AM.
Obstacles will be closed by 11 AM.
Children under 8 must run with a paid adult participant.
Children under 3 may attend the event, but may not participate on the obstacles.
Tickets are valid for single-day entry only.

Required Packet Pick-Up

Packet pick-up is required for all participants to obtain the following:

Race entry bracelet (to be worn the day of the event)
Superhero/race-themed giveaway items
Other run information

Location: Parks and Recreation Office located at 90 E Civic Center Drive Gilbert, AZ 85296

Time: 2:00 PM - 5:45 PM

*Superhero/ race giveaways will be distributed while supplies last. We will do our best to accommodate your request.

Event Policies

There is no registration after March 21st, and no on-site registration will be accepted.

Obstacles will be closed by 11 AM.
Event registration is open to participants ages 3 years and older.
Children under the age of 3 are permitted on the course, but not on the obstacles. Children under the age of 3 must remain in a stroller or carried by a parent at all times during the event.
Children under 8 years of age must run with a registered adult (18+).
No pets will be permitted on obstacles, but are welcome at the event on leash.
No alcohol, glass bottles, smoking or outside soliciting will be permitted.
