Our mission: Gilbert Parks and Recreation is committed to providing superior parks, recreation and cultural programs, which exceed customer expectations, enhance the quality of life, and promote lifelong leisure and educational pursuits. The department is proud to be be CAPRA accredited and several facilities and parks have earned the Certified Autism Center designation from the IBCCES. Family Bird Walks

Desert Rivers Audubon

Join Desert Rivers Audubon at the Dragonfly Ramada of the Riparian Preserve on every third Saturday of the Month, October through March, for free Family Bird Walks.

You can expect: 

  • A short walk
  • A family friendly introduction to the birds of the Preserve from an expert birder 
  • An exhibit of live raptors from Liberty Wildlife 

You need only bring yourself and your walking shoes! Binoculars will be provided for the duration of the walk. Groups greater than 8 will require a reservation ahead of the event.
