To prepare for construction of the road improvements, utility work is currently taking place or planned for utilities in the corridor, to include Cox, Southwest Gas, and SRP Electric, to relocate their facilities.

Construction on road improvements by Gilbert’s contractor, Haydon Building Corp, will begin sometime in late 2024 and take approximately 12 months to complete. 

The project team has met with individual residents impacted by the improvements, and public meetings were held in April 2019 and in November 2021 to provide information on the project and an opportunity for nearby residents to ask questions or provide feedback.
