The Mission of the Gilbert Police Department
The respect for individual rights is the basis of our constitution and the cornerstone of our values at the Gilbert Police Department. Our mission is to serve as law enforcement leaders in protecting and assisting all people in our community through effective problem solving, professional service, and the relentless pursuit of those who victimize our citizens and compromise public safety.
Our Vision Gilbert
A community where people feel safe in their homes, in public places and on our roadways.
Our Values
Honor, Integrity, Courage and Professionalism
Our patrol officers and communications employees respond to an average of 180,000 calls for service each year. We have specialty units to address community concerns related to unsafe driving, school safety, and crime suppression.
The main goal of our Crime Prevention group is offering programs- such as Neighborhood Watch, Crime Free Multi-housing, and Identity Theft Reduction- to our community, to better prepare and educate our residents about ways to reduce crime where they live and work.
A close connection to the community is vital to the success of our agency. Learn more about how our Volunteer, Gilbert Youth and Adult Resources, Police Cadet, and Citizen Police Academy programs give us a chance to do meaningful work with our citizens.
The Gilbert Police Department is interested in applicants looking to use their superb communication skills, dedication, and drive to bolster our stellar work force, and provide exceptional service to all our citizens.
