Each year, the Public Works Department hosts the Maintenance Superintendents Association (MSA) Tom Sheetz Memorial Streets “Roadeo” here in Gilbert, Arizona. The “Roadeo” was named after MSA founder and Gilbert employee, Tom Sheetz, after he died in a tragic motorcycle accident.

This year, nine municipalities from across Arizona competed in events including crack seal, asphalt patch and concrete repair to win awards and recognition for the agency they represent. The purpose of this annual competition is to network with other cities, share ideas and have fun. To see this year's highlights please watch this video.
