The Town of Gilbert picks up residential contained refuse (solid waste) twice a week, once for black cans or general refuse and once for blue cans, or recyclable refuse. Regular pick-up days are Monday through Friday.
Residential customers are billed $16.00 a month for 90 gallon containers or $14.80 a month for 65 gallon containers. Each additional 90 gallon container is $8.80.
Holidays DO NOT affect refuse collection schedules. In addition, residents can make a single trip to the landfill used by the Town each month.

The Salt River Landfill, owned and operated by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, is a comprehensive solid waste management facility, that serves the Cities of Mesa and Scottsdale and the Town of Gilbert as well as the Salt River Pima-Maricopa and Fort McDowell Indian Communities.
