The Gilbert Town Council typically meets twice per month on rotating Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Each fall, a meeting schedule is approved for the following year.
There are months where the schedule varies, so please check the website calendar and the agenda section for updates and specific dates.
Council meetings are held inside the Council Chambers located on the first floor of Gilbert Town Hall at 50 E. Civic Center Drive.

Open Meeting Law
Meetings of the Council are required to comply with the Arizona Revised Statutes, Title 38, Article 3.1, commonly referred to as the Open Meeting Law.
Meetings are public, except for Executive Sessions.
Open Meeting Law materials may be accessed in the Attorney General's Arizona Agency Handbook, Chapter 7 and the Arizona Ombudsman's Open Meeting Book.
Agendas and notices are posted at least 24 hours prior to a meeting or event.
Councilmembers may attend in person or by telephone. Items may be discussed in a different sequence than is listed on the agenda.
Draft minutes or legal actions are posted to the website within three working days of a meeting. The draft minutes contain all legal action taken.
Written minutes are prepared for Council Study Sessions; no legal action is taken at Study Sessions.
NOTICE TO PARENTS: Parents and legal guardians have the right to consent before the Town of Gilbert makes a video or voice recording of a minor child. A.R.S. §1-602.A.9. Gilbert Council Meetings are recorded and may be viewed on Channel 11 and the Gilbert website. If you permit your child to participate in the Council Meeting, a recording will be made. If your child is seated in the audience your child may be recorded, but you may request that your child be seated in a designated area to avoid recording. Please submit your request to the Town Clerk at 503-6861.
