The Gilbert Police Department 🚓 and Gilbert Fire & Rescue 🚒 has partnered with Trader Joe's to bring our annual Sensory Awareness Family Event (S.A.F.E.) on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

For most families, a shopping trip is part of everyday life. For some families who have a loved one who struggles with sensory issues, shopping isn't that easy.  To allow for a calmer shopping environment,  during the hours listed, there will be no in-store announcements, reduced noise, no music, and additional help from Gilbert Police and Gilbert Fire & Rescue.

The event will be held at the Trader Joe's located at 1779 E Williams Field Road from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The event is open to all shoppers, however, there will be an emphasis on adult shoppers from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM and families from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
