If you are attending a Gilbert Student Citizen of the Month Ceremony,
here's what to expect:
- The ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.
- Please arrive early as seating is limited.
- You do not need to check in, however, if you would like to confirm the pronunciation of your child’s name, please check in with the Clerk at the podium prior to the ceremony.
- The students will be called up in three groups based on the schools they attend.
- Each student will then be called individually by name and receive a certificate and swag bag from the Mayor and Council.
- Each student will take a photo with Mayor Peterson.
- Each group will then take a group photo with the Council.
NOTICE: Parents and legal guardians have the right to consent before the Town of Gilbert makes a video or voice recording of a minor child, A.R.S. 1-602.A.9. This ceremony will be recorded and may be viewed on the Gilbert Live website. If you permit your child to participate in the ceremony, a recording will be made. If your child is seated in the audience your child may be recorded, but you may request that your child be seated in a designated area to avoid recording. Please submit your request to the Town Clerk.
