13th Annual Gilbert Water Festival

The Water Festival is an annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) event sponsored by the Town of Gilbert and run by Arizona Project WET.  Utilizing Town employees and business community volunteers, the Water Festival immerses fourth-graders and teachers in an educational field trip to increase knowledge about our water resources, water conservation, and careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Volunteering for this large-scale event can entail helping with set up and tear down, escorting students from buses to learning stations, and teaching short water lessons. Snacks, drinks, and lunch will be provided for volunteers on both March 6th and March 7th.

If you have not volunteered at this event before, please attend a mandatory 2-hour training session on February 15th from 9:00AM-11:00AM at the Public Works building, room 158. Please contact Gina Damato with any questions regarding volunteering at this event.

Last year’s water festival set a record for attendance with over 1,700 Gilbert 4th graders between the 2 days. Volunteers are critical to make this event happen!

Register here for one or both days of the festival.
