Sensory Awareness Family Event at Trader Joe's

For most families, a shopping trip is part of everyday life. For some families who have a loved one with sensory issues, shopping isn't easy.

Gilbert Police and Gilbert Fire & Rescue partnered with Trader Joe's to host a Sensory Awareness Family Event (S.A.F.E.) on Wednesday, April 19 where shoppers will be able to buy their groceries in a calm environment with limited store music and announcements along with additional employee assistance available if needed.

  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM - Focus on adult shoppers
  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Focus on family shoppers
