The community is invited to join Gilbert as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday, January 16, 2023.
The 25th anniversary parade celebration theme is What are you doing for others?
The festivities will begin at 11 AM with a parade that will include participation from Gilbert Police Department and their 1955 Chevy as well as the Gilbert Fire & Rescue Department who will be driving the 1953 GMC pumper truck.
The parade will also feature other community groups, organizations, businesses, churches, dance groups, bands, and regional cities. Upon ending their stroll in Downtown Mesa, the celebration will continue with a festival featuring food, vendors, and fun activities.
East Valley Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade and Festival Information
The parade begins at 11 AM on January 16, 2023, kicking off at the intersection of MLK Way and Center Street and will travel east of First Street to Hibbert, turn north and end on 3rd Street and Hibbert.
Following the parade, a community festival will be held from 12 PM to 4:00 PM at The Plaza at Mesa City Center. The event will include food, vendors, entertainment and Kids Unity Corner with activities and crafts.
