The Field Class Series is for children aged 6-12 and will explore scientific topics through engaging activities set in the Riparian Preserve. Classes will take place on the first Saturday of each month January-April.

Insect Inspectors will provide an introduction into the taxonomy and life cycles of insects. Get up close and personal with our insect collection and learn about the diversity of insect adaptations. Participants will go on a hike through the Preserve to observe our native insects and learn about their very special role in our ecosystem. Participants will each make and take their own Solitary Bee Nesting Bundle to observe at home and continue the learning!
