The Gilbert Water Tower will be lit purple on Wednesday, August 3rd and Thursday, August 4th for for Drowning Impact Awareness Month.

Every year, Gilbert Fire and Rescue sadly responds to water-related incidents involving children. Most child drownings occur between the ages of two to five years old. They happen fast and are silent.

Drownings are 100% preventable.
