Did you make a new year's resolution to get involved and volunteer? Here is your chance! Join others in a Day of Service helping our Gilbert residents in need. Volunteers will be asked to tackle small interior or exterior household maintenance items needed by elderly/homebound residents in the Gilbert area. Services include, changing light bulbs, smoke detectors batteries, removing boxes and bags for donations or garbage, and light landscaping.
The project is being coordinated by Weekly Collective and is sponsored by One Source Shipping. Volunteers will meet at OneSource Shipping & Printing at 7:00 am for an orientation. Organizers will distribute and assign the list of Gilbert addresses needing service. Each team of 2 or more are asked to to bring their own gloves, masks, and ladder. Other supplies such as batteries and light bulbs will be provided.
To sign up as a volunteer- please register here.
If you know a neighbor who could benefit from this service, please email Melanie Dykstra at melanie.dykstra@gilbertaz.gov and include their full name, address and a good phone number for us to get in touch with them or have them fill out the Application by January 6, 2022.
Thank you for making a difference in our community and showing us your #GilbertKindness.
